The “Swallow Your Pride, Call for a Ride” program provided transportation for 85 people on New Year’s Eve.
For the fifth time, Safe Communities of Wood County provided safe rides home for people who felt unable to drive after celebrating the New Year.
This year, the 85 rides were provided by two vans for 28 males and 57 females. A total of 26 volunteer hours supported the program.
The program has supplied more than 685 rides in its first five years.
