I have to say that every time I hear that the economy is the best it’s ever been in 50 years, I have to laugh to keep myself from getting furious. The fact is that there is no booming economy and The Economic Happy Days Are Here Again line of bull being handed the public by conservatives and Trump worshippers, is a flat out lie!!
My question to Trump and his supporters is that if things are so wonderful, where the heck is my money? Where the heck is my affordable healthcare? Where’s the beef? Show me the money or shut up because talk is cheap and you are full of it!
As a member of a Gold Star Family, (my first cousin O.R. was killed in action in ’68,and I am the Son Of A Navy Plank Owner), I was told from an early age that I lived in the Greatest Nation On Earth, and I am well aware of the sacrifices made by others to give me my freedom. It was once inconceivable to me that anything could take that away from me or my family. These days,I am not so sure.
Where and why my neighbors got the idea that it was up to them to restore greatness to the nation, through the lens of vengeance and hate, I will never know, but one thing is for sure, I have no intention of standing idly by and allowing them to trounce all over our freedom. Whether they like it or not, they are going to lose. If for no other reason, because they are wrong!
Like their idol Trump’s friend Putin, they have come to believe that by force of arms, the dissemination of propaganda, and extermination of their opponents, they can subjugate the entire nation into compliance with their version of America. What they are going to find, just as all Authoritarians have found, is that they cannot destroy the human right of self determination, and like the Berlin Wall, their reign of terror will end.
In my entire short 49 years on this earth,and 34 years of working life it was never necessary for me to kill, injure, exile, or exterminate Americans of other races, colors, creeds, sexual identity or religion, in order to secure a good paying job, nor was it necessary for my union-employed father to do so! My father’s generation did not throw away entire populations of American workers, and force them into debt to secure a living wage, and a technologically advanced society. The generations after my father did, and conservatives have nobody to blame but themselves for the current state of things. It’s up to them if they want to be Americans or traitors!
The President of the USA, the Senate, and Congress, work for all us, and if they cannot, they must resign, and, yes, that includes Democrats! Our public servants, are too focused on their own needs, and have turned public service into a paycheck. This must be changed and is the reason we have a traitorous, racist, inhumane monster in the WH! As long as conservatives keep supporting Trump, as long as their public servants will not challenge him, because they are only interested in maintaining their, and their families’ status, and as for me, well I can just drop dead!
My Final words are simple, I love This Country, and I have some bad news for Trump and his worshippers, I am here to stay! I was born here,and I’ll criticize the president anyway I choose. I’ll say what I wish because my cousin died to give that right, period! Save your threats I am not afraid! This is the Land Of The Free. I suggest you remember that.
