Meet Titan, a 9-10-month-old pittie mix that came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray. He is a young, energetic guy who loves to go for walks.
“He was shy when he first got here, but quickly came out of his shell and became a staff and volunteer favorite,” Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding said. “He will need some help learning his manners and not jumping up when he gets excited, but he learns quickly and is very treat motivated. He has done great with the other dogs, and has met small children at the shelter and done great with them.”
Titan is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. He is one of 21 dogs at the shelter right now. We have many dogs that range in sizes from 12 to 60 pounds and 8 months to 8 years.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
