The Toledo Jazz Orchestra’s Hartmann Bogan Jazz Series kicks off with an appearance by Cuban trumpet master Arturo Sandoval Saturday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. in the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle.
Led by Alain Trudel, the Toledo Jazz Orchestra joins Sandoval for a program that blending classic big band jazz with fresh arrangements. The proram will also features members of the orchestra.

Scott Lavender will conduct he Toledo Jazz Orchestra performs Vince Guaraldi’s timeless soundtrack to “A Charlie Brown Christmas” featuring the classic tunes “Christmas Time Is Here” and “Linus and Lucy.” The concert will bring to life the playful, jazz-infused soundtrack to Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the Peanuts gang’s holiday celebration. - A Tribute to Count Basie, Saturday, Jan. 24, 8 p.m. | The Valentine Theatre, Toledo. The concert features Mike Williams, former lead trumpet of the Count Basie Orchestra, and vocalist
Mandy Gaines showcases iconic big band standards with the precision and energy that defined Basie’s legendary sound. - Great American Songbook with Aubrey Logan, Saturday, March 28, 8 p.m. at the The Valentine. Vocalist and trombonist Aubrey Logan joins the Toledo Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Trudel, to celebrate the Great American Songbook.
- Ray Angry, a pianist and composer best known as a member of The Roots, Saturday, June 13 8 p.m. at The Valentine Theatre. Angry blends jazz, R&B, and hip-hop.
