De’Ante Shivers, founder and owner of TriggaMeals at 300 E. Wooster St., has launched a Pay It Forward Meal Drive to help feed people in need.
He will personally match every dollar donated by the community to provide free meals for those in need.
This week, he plans to cook and distribute at least 100 free meals on Tuesday to anyone in need with no questions asked. He will post on his @TriggaMeals social media accounts (FaceBook, Instagram, TikTok and X).
Shivers believes his role is to provide help within the community that has supported his business for more than nine years.
“I was blessed with the ability to cook, blessed with the business, and blessed to be a part of this community,” he said. “And I just feel as much as the community pours into me, I want to pour back into it.”
