From UNIVERSITY WOMEN OF BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY
University Women of BGSU will kick off the 2025-2026 year with its annual fall brunch on Aug. 16, at 10 a.m., in the Veterans Building at City Park.
This brunch is an opportunity for women who have an interest in joining to learn more about the organization. Members do not have to have any affiliation with BGSU to join. The primary objectives of University Women are to encourage and assist part-time and full-time undergraduate women through scholarship funding and to provide fellowship and enrichment for its members, primarily through various small interest groups.
A catered box lunch will be provided by Call of the Canyon. It will include a chicken, bacon, ranch wrap (chicken breast, with or without bacon, shredded cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a flour tortilla), chips, fruit, and a cookie for $15. There is also a vegetarian option, and bottled water will be available.
Current members and guests are advised to send their names and $15 per meal to Hilde Farrow, 1210 Alexandria Blvd., Bowling Green. Forms are due by Aug. 1.
The brunch program will include a brief address by BGSU President Rodney Rogers, who will offer updates about campus happenings. Kelsey Nevius, the communications and marketing specialist from the Wood County District Public Library, will be the guest speaker.
Four BGSU students will be presented with scholarships. The recipients are:
- Karissa Boisselle, a junior, who lives in Bowling Green. She is majoring in graphic design and minoring in art history. Boisselle will be receiving a $2,000 scholarship;
