A Veterans Day memorial service will be held at the Veterans’ Memorial Plaza of the Wood County Courthouse in Bowling Green on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. The service will include the reading of a Patriots Pen essay by Bowling Green Middle School student Nora Vanneman, patriotic music performed by the BGMS 8th grade choir, the laying of wreaths by BGMS 8th grade students, and remarks by veteran and still-serving naval officer, Commander Select Haraz Ghanbari. The 14th OVI Civil War re-enactors will provide a rifle salute, and “Taps” will be presented by Ryan Holley.
