Vivek Ramaswamy ‘cannot be trusted with Ohio’s public funds’

The 2026 Ohio gubernatorial election is a referendum on character, fiscal stewardship, and human decency. While Vivek Ramaswamy campaigns as a “successful businessman,” his performative “tech bro” routine treats public office like a vanity project. Ohio needs a tested manager, not a bully.

True fiscal conservatism means resource management. Backed by out-of-state billionaires, Ramaswamy has spent an astronomical $79 million. He spent $4 million of that just to exploit his opponent’s childhood trauma to generate headlines. By weaponizing the estranged birth mother Dr. Amy Acton hasn’t spoke to in 48 years – despicably mocking a legal record of childhood sexual abuse – he reveals a total emptiness of character. If this cruel misallocation of capital is how he runs a campaign, he cannot be trusted with Ohio’s public funds.

In sharp contrast stands Dr. Acton. Running an efficient $33 million campaign, she represents the absolute best of us, because she represents the working middle class. Her profound resilience was forged through childhood housing insecurity and abuse, rising to become a physician and a proven crisis manager.

A governor must manage a vast bureaucracy, maintain a cool head in crises, and select competent staff. Dr. Acton has a proven track record in all three areas – Ramaswamy does not. Ohioans deserve a leader whose character is rooted in our communities and whose expertise is rooted in public service.

Please vote for Dr. Amy Acton.
