Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 15, through Friday, Aug. 18, the main entrance and parking areas at the W.W. Knight Nature Preserve will be closed due to the parking lots being paved. The preserve will remain open to pedestrians, but no motor vehicle access will be permitted on these days.
One exception to this closure is for the “Milkweeds and Monarchs” programs on Wednesday evening. Limited parking will be made available for guests registered for this program. Those attending should plan to meet park program staff at the entrance to the W.W. Knight Nature Preserve.
Renovation of the parking areas will include milling 1 to 2 inches of the existing pavement in both parking lots, followed by asphalt paving of the milled areas. The lots will then be restriped.
