The Wood County Prevention Coalition Executive and Sector Leadership Committee voted in a new president and vice president at their November meeting. Both individuals have been long standing coalition members with leadership duties.
Madison Weilnau, former vice president, was elected president. Weilnau is the program coordinator for the Wood County Addiction Response Collaborative (ARC). She received her bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and is a licensed social worker. Her role within the ARC program is to offer support and resources to overdose victims and their families, as well as facilitate the program.
The committee elected Aimee Coe, formerly Coalition Secretary, as vice president. Coe received her undergraduate degree in criminal justice and later her master’s in rehabilitation counseling from Bowling Green State University. Aimee is a licensed professional clinical counselor with a supervisory endorsement. Aimee has been with the Wood County Alcohol Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board as the director of community programs since January 2018.
The Wood County Prevention Coalition unites compassionate community members working together to coordinate high quality programs for the prevention of youth substance abuse in Wood County. The coalition was established in 2004.
The Wood County Prevention Coalition’s next meeting is Friday, Dec. 8, at 9 a.m. at the Wood County Educational Service Center, 1867 N. Research Drive, Bowling Green.
