William Francis Heiman, 83, of Tontogany, Ohio peacefully passed away May 1, 2016 at his home. He was born April 2, 1933 in Waterville, Ohio to Calvin and Thelma (Wertz) Heiman. He graduated from Washington Township School in Tontogany in 1951. He married Barbara Stockner on September 10, 1960 and she survives. He was employed by Unicast Corp. for 38 years retiring in 1995 and was the Washington Township Clerk for 12 years, retiring from there in 2000. He was a Volunteer Fireman with the Washington Township Fire Department for 60 years. William was preceded in death by his parents and brothers in law Glenn Cox and Harry Younkin . He is survived by his wife Barbara, son Mark Heiman and daughter Mary (Bill) Gase and five grandchildren Madalyn and Emily Heiman, Will., Abby and Drew Gase, and sister Jane Younkin. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 8 pm on Tuesday May 3, 2016 at Peinert- Dunn Funeral Home 18620 Washington St. Tontogany, Ohio. A Fireman’s Last Call Service will be at 7:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 14010 S. River Rd. Grand Rapids, Ohio where he was a member. Father David Tscherne will officiate. Interment will follow at Tontogany Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Hospice of Northwest Ohio, St. Patrick’s Church Cemetery Fund or the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Dept. Equipment Fund.
