William ‘Tom’ Tatham

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Thomas Tatham, “Tom” on March 29, 2025. Born in Trumbull County, Ohio, Tom lived a life filled with love, family, and a passion for the things he enjoyed. 

He graduated from North Baltimore High School in 1960 and went on to work at the Wood County Health Department for 30 years.  He was the Director of Environmental Services at the Health Department, retiring in 1996.   

Tom married the love of his life, Maria (Thomas) Tatham, on February 14, 1977 and she survives him. Tom is also survived by his daughter, Julie (Darwin) Heldman of Oklahoma;  son, Allen (Stephanie) Tatham of Weston; step-mom, Sally; grandchildren: Matthew, Hannah, Rebecca, Allison, and Cori, and 12 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William J and Grace, brother Jim, and sister Renee.   

A man of many interests, Tom enjoyed woodworking, cars, and fishing. He was a gun enthusiast and member of the NRA. He was an avid reader, read his Bible every day and attended Providence Reformed Baptist Church.   

As we honor his memory, we invite friends and family to join us for his public viewing at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, Bowling Green on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:00 am. A Funeral Service will follow at the same location at 12:00 pm, with a graveside service to take place at New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore, immediately following the funeral service.
