The Women’s Club of Bowling Green will host its bi-annual garage sale on Saturday, June 28. Located at First Christian Church, 875 Haskins Road, the multi-family sale will run from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The garage sale is a fundraiser to support club projects including: Scholarships to BGHS Seniors, BGSU Music Student, Non-Traditional Student; Brown Bag Food Project, The Cocoon, BG Christian Food Pantry, Wood County District Public Library, Wood County Humane Society, Pennies for Puppies, Black Swamp Arts Festival, Linus Project, Canine Companions, Children’s Resource Center, Ronald McDonald House, United Nations’ “Shot@Life,” and the “Welcome to Bowling Green” Sign.
Founded in 1920, the Women’s Club of Bowling Green is an organization dedicated to community
service through volunteer efforts. WCBG is a non-sectarian and non-partisan organization and has
members of a wide variety of ages and walks of life. The organization’s community service programs include arts and culture, civic engagement and outreach, education and libraries, environment, and health and wellness. Through these programs, club members provide a variety of ways to address community needs while promoting leadership, positive self-esteem, and good citizenship in the membership.
The club’s motto is: ‘Not for Self, But for Others’. WCBG is a part of the greater General Federation of
Women’s Clubs and the Ohio Federation of Women’s Clubs. The tag line for GFWC is “Living the
