GFWC Women’s Club of Bowling Green will meet on Dec. 7 at the Bowling Green Country Club beginning at 3:30 p.m. for a holiday celebration.
The program for the afternoon will be the BGHS Madrigals, introduced by music chair Donna Schmidt. As a club service project, members are asked to bring a pair of new men’s, women’s, or children’s socks which will be donated to various community charitable initiatives.
President Kathy Mull will start the meeting, after which Carol Ballard will provide the evening’s inspiration. A brief business meeting will follow to update and plan ongoing club projects, including a final report on the Holiday Art and Craft Show.
Candace Gillen will share Literature Group projects and Ballard will share news of upcoming Garden Group projects. An optional gift exchange of the Super Sassy Sock event between members celebrates the holiday season. Hostesses for the evening are Carol Mowen, Kathy Schultz and Gillen.
The designated charity for December is the BG Christian Food Pantry, with the club making a donation of $125 on behalf of members. November’s designated charity, Wood County District Library Children’s Place, received tape, glue sticks, markers, pipe cleaners, and $178 in monetary donations from club members.
