The Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities and the AKtion Club of Wood County recognized nine individuals at the 2025 Community Honor Awards Banquet on Friday, April 11.

Held to recognize individuals and organizations who make a positive impact in our community, this year’s banquet celebrated a remarkable group of honorees whose contributions exemplify compassion, commitment and excellence.

The 2025 Community Honor Awards and recipients were:

Each award recipient has left an indelible mark on the community, and we are honored to recognize their efforts. Together, we celebrate a stronger, more inclusive Wood County — one where every voice matters and every contribution counts.

We are grateful to all who attended the event, submitted nominations, and showed their support for inclusive and community-centered values. This involvement continues to uplift and empower individuals of all abilities throughout Wood County.
