The Wood County Dog Shelter is also starting door-to-door license checks next week, according to Wood County Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding.
Shelter staff will be in the southern part of the county next week, in Hoytville, North Baltimore, Bloomdale, Cygnet, Fostoria, and West Millgrove. The shelter staff will be working their way north throughout June and July so Harding wants to give everybody a heads up to purchase a dog license if they have not done so yet.
