Wood County Health Department renovation to temporarily close main lobby; other entrances available

Wood County Health Department

Wood County Health Department is currently undergoing a renovation project that allows all public-facing services to be housed at the same location at 1840 E. Gypsy Lane Road in Bowling Green.

All health department services will remain open throughout the renovation. Starting Tuesday, May 27, the main health department entrance will be closed until further notice. Signs posted onsite will direct clients to the appropriate entrance all for public services.

  • The WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program will be accessed through an entrance at the front of the building labeled Entrance A.
  • All other public health services (birth and death records, environmental licensing and permits) will be accessed through an entrance at the back of the building labeled Entrance B.
  • The Wood County Community Health Center, including the Health Center Pharmacy, will be accessed through an entrance on the east side of the building labeled Entrance C.

The renovation is expected to be completed in July, and all services will be accessible through the main entrance by that time.

“We thank our community in advance for their patience and understanding as we navigate this essential phase of our renovation,” said Wood County Health Commissioner Benjamin Robison. “We also want to acknowledge the support of the Board of Health in undertaking this renovation. This project is essential for the long-term sustainability of our facility and enables our staff to continue to provide valuable services to our community.”
