From WOOD COUNTY MUSEUM & SAFE COMMUNITIES OF WOOD COUNTY
The community is invited to join the Wood County Museum and Safe Communities of Wood County for the third Annual Safety Fair & Cruise-In. The event will occur on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., rain or shine, on the grounds of the Wood County Museum. This is the rescheduled date for the event, which was postponed due to flooding on the museum grounds.
This is a free community event. Guests will have the opportunity to get an up-close look at service vehicles including fire trucks, police cruisers, first responder vehicles, tractors, farm equipment, and construction equipment. Vendors specializing in safety information will also be onsite. In addition, there will be a kid’s zone with activities, bounce houses, and an inflatable obstacle course.
Attendees are encouraged to drive out to the museum in their classic cars or hot rods. Accompanying the Safety Fair is a passenger car cruise-in. Participation in the cruise-in is free.
Safe Communities of Wood County will hold a ceremony for the “Seatbelt Survivor” awards.
Root’s Poultry, the Hot Dawg Hut, Pucker’s Lemonade food trucks, and Brown Bag Food Project, with a sweets donation booth, will be onsite during the event.
The event is rain or shine and will be modified in the case of weather.
