Wood County Museum to host birthday party for resident cat, Peaches, Thursday, Sept. 25

From WOOD COUNTY MUSEUM

The Wood County Museum and For the Love of Cats invite the community to celebrate Peaches’ birthday, the resident cat of the museum, on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 4 – 7 p.m., at the Wood County Museum, 13660 County Home Road, Bowling Green. There will be cotton candy donated by Awesome Sauce Sugar Floss, cake, cookies, and punch.

The Wood County Museum will be collecting donations for Peaches’ upkeep, with 50% of the proceeds going to For the Love of Cats. There will also be a cat food and supply drive for For the Love of Cats. To view their wishlist, visit www.4loveofcats.org/amazon.

The birthday party is a free community event, though RSVPs are encouraged. To RSVP, call 419-352-0967 or visit woodcountyhistory.org.

Peaches is a barn cat that adopted the Wood County Museum as his home; he has lived at the museum for about two years. The staff and community members help care for him, and he seems to love the attention he receives. Peaches is a “trap, neuter, return (TNR)” cat, and was part of the local TNR program by For the Love of Cats. Peaches is also a feature on the museum’s Facebook page every Saturday for #caturday.
