Wood County has reported 168 new COVID cases, 3 deaths, and 7 new hospitalizations since Monday, according to today’s report from the Wood County Health Department.
That brings the total for the county to 17,397 cases, 250 deaths, and 797 hospitalizations from COVID.
Wood County is seeing an average of 42 new COVID cases each day, and is now at 260 COVID cases per 100,000 residents, keeping the county in the high transmission range.
During the last two weeks, the 451 new COVID cases in the county broken down into ZIP Code areas show that all areas of the county are affected. The highest number of cases in the last two weeks were reported in Perrysburg, 144; Bowling Green, 93; Rossford, 28; North Baltimore, 26; Northwood, 20; Weston, 18; Pemberville, 18; and Walbridge, 16.
Several schools in the county have reported recent cases of COVID. The report issued Oct. 21 gave an update of cases, including:

- Eastwood, 4 students, 2 staff.
- Elmwood, 2 students, 0 staff.
- Lake, 2 students, 1 staff.
- North Baltimore, 2 students, 0 staff.
- Northwood, 2 students, 0 staff.
- Otsego, 2 students, 0 staff.
- Penta, 9 students, 0 staff.
- Perrysburg, 18 students, 3 staff.
- Rossford, 11 students, 0 staff.
