Wood County is now up to 12,900 confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 and 217 deaths from the virus since last March, according to the Monday, April 26, update from the Wood County Health Department.
That is 57 new cases and one more death since the last report on Thursday, April 22.
A total of 634 local residents have been hospitalized for the coronavirus since last March, with eight more being hospitalized since Thursday.
As of Sunday, a total of 58,426 local residents have gotten at least their first dose of a COVID vaccine. That is 44.66% of the county population.
