The Wood County Republican Women’s Club has announced that it has again been awarded the Diamond Achievement Award at the 43rd biennial convention of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), held Sept. 25 – 28, in Orlando, Florida.

The Diamond Achievement Award, the highest club achievement award given by the NFRW, is presented to Republican women’s clubs across the nation that “demonstrate outstanding achievement and excellence in membership growth, campaign activity, community relations, leadership development, and club programming.” The Wood County Republican Women’s Club’s commitment to engaging members, fostering strong leadership, and serving the community has helped it place in the top tier of Republican women’s clubs nationwide.

The NFRW further recognized Beverly Hirzel, of Walbridge, honoring her efforts as the top volunteer in Ohio for making more voter calls than any other federation member in the state.

Sally Culling, president of Wood County Republican Women’s Club, stated, “Mrs. Hirzel’s commitment to voter outreach reflects the true spirit of grassroots political action, ensuring that Republican voices are heard at every level.”

“The Diamond Achievement Award, presented to the club, showcases the strength and vitality of Republican women across Wood County. Their dedication to supporting Republican candidates and serving their communities is vital, not only in the success of the Republican party, but also in shaping the future of public service,” stated Culling.
