The Zonta Club of Bowling Green recently kicked off its 20th year as a club. Mini sessions were held with the newly formed committees, elected committee chairmen, and began planning for the year. After the mini sessions each committee gave a summary of what they planned for the year ahead.
The club has many big plans in the making and will be focusing on finding projects that can make an impact in our local community and support women in business this year.
Officers for the coming year are Wendy Chambers, president, Teri Lauer, vice president, Brittany Gerschutz, secretary, Linda Kohler, treasurer, Jayne Roth, past president, Kathy East, Deborah Woodridge and Cindy Hollinger, at-large.
On Thursday, Oct. 10, the Zonta Club of Bowling Green will be holding a party to celebrate the group’s 20th anniversary. The celebration will be held at the Carter House from 5-7 p.m. for current and past members and guests. As the club looks to the future, Zonta wants to take time to honor our past by recognizing those who served the club before us.
