James “Bob” Sapp, 84, of formerly of Weston and Cygnet passed away Tuesday April 26, 2016.
Bob was born in Kingston, West Virginia to the late James F. and Cora Mae ( Davis) Sapp. Bob is survived by his children: Randal (Melissa) Sapp of Pemberville, Barry (Mary) Sapp of Cygnet; Jamie Meyers of Weston and Amie Richardson of Toledo; grandchildren: Justin Sapp, Amber Decker and Derek Sapp; great-grandchildren: Kortland, Colton and Corbyn; brothers: Lloyd Sapp of Pemberville and Ronald Sapp of Centerville. He was preceded in death by his grandson Jeremy Sapp and sisters: Mary Beatrice Campbell, Geneva Allene Meeks and Grace Juanita Cookson.
James was a warehouse clerk for the Tennessee Department of Corrections and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Bob enjoyed keeping up on the current events, woodworking, reading, doing puzzles and listening to classical music. He was a member of the American Legion Post #45 of Bowling Green and loved the time he spent with his family.
Visitation will be on Saturday April 30, 2016 from 10 AM until the time of his funeral service at 12Noon in the Loomis-Hanneman Funeral Home, 20375 E. Taylor St., Weston, Ohio 43569. Interment with Military Honors’ will follow in the Weston Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be gifted in Bob’s honor to the Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 or to the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
The family would like to give their deepest gratitude to C1 Nursing Staff at the Ohio Veterans Home and to Mary Kay, Shelia and Christi with Stein Hospice for the compassionate care they showed Bob.
