Sandra “Sandy” Minarik, age 78, of Genoa, OH passed away at Genesis Health Care – Perrysburg Center on April 29, 2016. She was born on March 9, 1938 in Toledo to William and Virginia “Ginny” Eisinger. On November 26, 1955 she married Walter “Walt” Minarik Jr. in Walbridge , and he survives. Sandy was a homemaker and also a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Stony Ridge, OH. She was a former Cub Scout Leader and in her spare time enjoyed doing crafts (painting, quilting and tatting), camping with Walt and baking for the entire family.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband: Walt Jr., son: Mark (Laurie) Minarik of Williston, daughter: Kelly (Tom) Leady of Elmore, 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, brothers: Bill Kelly, Dan Kelly, Mike Kelly, sisters: Pat Jett and Kitty Callaghan. She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Joe and his wife Deb and brother: Louie Kelly.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 11 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel Beaudion. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, OH. A bereavement luncheon will be served at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Stony Ridge, OH immediately following the cemetery committal services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to: Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio or Hospice & Palliative Care Compassus.
