He was born on July 25, 1950, in Fremont to the late Ralph & Carma (Rentz) Schell. Jack married Linda Butcher on December 12, 1980, at the Sylvania First United Methodist Church.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Linda; son, Jay B. (Haley) Schell; daughter, Wendy; and three grandchildren Ben, Megan & Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Carma, and his furry companion Buddy.
