Two people were arrested for alleged assaults in the downtown Bowling Green area this past weekend.

On Friday (April 25), around 11:50 p.m., police responded to a bar in the 300 block of East Wooster Street for a reported assault. Police were told a woman, Brittney O’Neill, 24, of West Unity, had hit another woman in the face with a closed fist.

A witness was able to get O’Neill’s license plate, and license plate cameras helped police find her in the apartment complex in the 2000 block of Napoleon Road. She was charged with assault and taken to Wood County Jail.

On Sunday (April 27) around 2:17 a.m., police patrolling in the 100 block of North Prospect Street came upon a man with blood on his shirt and lip. The man told police he had just been jumped in the lot behind Circle K.
