From EASTWOOD FFA
Eight Eastwood FFA members were awarded the American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention Nov. 1 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The award is presented to FFA members who have achieved the organization’s nighest honor by demonstrating exceptional dedication through their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), leadership and community involvement.
Eastwood chapter members who earned the award are:
Logan Brinker, son of Matt and Kristi Brinker. He is a 2024 graduate of Eastwood High School. His SAE projects include being employed at his family farm, Brinker Farms, as a farmhand caring for beef, sheep, and grain crops. Logan participated in the General Livestock and Parliamentary Procedure Career Development Events (CDEs) and served as chapter sentinel and president. He is currently attending South Plains College in Texas majoring in animal science.
Luke Brinker is the son of Matt and Kristi Brinker. He is a 2024 graduate of Eastwood High School. His SAE projects consist of being employed by his family farm, Brinker Farms, as a beef and grain farmhand; he also is employed at Phil Foos Drainage. Luke participated in the General Livestock and Outdoor Power CDEs and served as chapter treasurer. Luke is currently attending Ohio State-ATI and majoring in livestock management.
Joshua Carpenter is the son of Michael and Kristina Carpenter. He is a 2024 graduate of Eastwood High School. His SAE consists of being employed as a farmhand at Carpenter Grain Farms. Joshua competed in the General Livestock CDE and served as chapter sentinel his senior year. Joshua is currently employed on the family farm.
Ethan Chlebowski is the son of Mike Chlebowski and Kathryn Chlebowski. He is a 2024 graduate of Eastwood High School. His SAE consists of being employed at Chlebowski Farms as a farmhand and Luckey Farmers. Ethan competed in the Equine Management and Soils CDE and served as chapter reporter. He is currently attending Ohio State-ATI majoring in agribusiness.
Carter Foos is the son of Phil and Sara Foos. He is a 2024 graduate of Eastwood High School. His SAE consists of being employed at Foos Farms, Flat Rock Acres, and Phil Foos Farm Drainage in addition to raising a field of hay. Carter participated in the Soils and Livestock CDEs and is currently attending Ohio State-ATI and majoring in agricultural systems management.
Mallory Kramer is the daughter of Eric and Kaylene Kramer. She is a 2023 graduate of Eastwood High School. Her SAE consists of being employed as a farmhand at Eckel Cattle Company and as a student assistant at the Sandusky County Extension Office. Mallory participated in the Parliamentary Procedure and Greenhand Quiz CDEs and served as chapter student advisor and vice president. Mallory is currently attending Ohio State and majoring in agriscience education.
Justin Lange is the son of Paul and Nina Lange. He is a 2024 graduate of Eastwood High School. Justin’s SAE project consists of working on his family farm, Lange Farms, as a farmhand. He has also participated in the Greenhand Quiz and Outdoor Power CDEs and served as our chapter student advisor. Justin is currently attending Bowling Green State University and majoring in construction management.
Alayna Waggoner is the daughter of Mike and Melisa Waggoner. She is a 2024 graduate of Eastwood High School. Her SAE projects consist of job placements at Grassy Creek Farm and Waggoner Farms. Alayna also competed in the Equine Management and Greenhand Quiz CDE’s. Alayna is currently attending Ohio State-ATI and majoring in agribusiness.
