From CITY OF BOWLING GREEN
Bowling Green Parks and Recreation has announced a new pilot program, “Monday Morning Meditation and Movement.” The community is invited to join certified yoga and meditation teacher, Maria Signorino, the natural resource specialist, at Simpson Garden Park this summer for meditation and light movement.
This class is offered Monday mornings in July from 8:30 – 9:15 a.m. The program will take place on July 13, July 20, and July 27.
This program is open to adults and those 16 and older. For participants younger than 16, an adult must be present. A yoga mat or beach towel is required to participate. Each session will be 45 minutes and catered to the group’s needs.
Classes will be canceled due to rain or extreme weather.
People are encouraged to slow down, engage in the senses, and listen to the body. By practicing a variety of mindfulness techniques, grounding, and light movement, attendees will connect with themselves, their community, and the earth.
The event is free and open to the public and does not require registration. For any questions, contact Maria Signorino at msignorino@bgohio.gov.
