Bowling Green Police handled multiple domestic violence cases between Thursday and Sunday (July 23-26), involving one juvenile, and two sets of adult siblings.
On Thursday, a 13-year-old girl was charged with domestic violence after police were called to a home in the 100 block of Byall Avenue, for a physical fight. Police arrived to find three people on the floor. The teenager reportedly had ripped a family member’s shirt, pulled her to the ground, hit her in the face, put a hand around her neck, and bit her finger.
She was taken to Wood County Juvenile Detention Center.
On Friday, officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Fort Drive, after someone dialed 911. Upon arriving, they found an adult brother and sister who had argued over the brother missing his mental health appointment. The siblings reportedly hit each other, with the brother allegedly breaking his sister’s glasses. Both were taken to Wood County Jail.
And on Sunday, BGPD was called about a domestic violence incident that had occurred in the parking lot of the Walmart store in Bowling Green, involving two adult brothers from Paulding County.
According to the report, the brothers argued over where to eat. The disagreement reportedly became physical, with one of the brothers, Nickolas Ray, 41, of Paulding, allegedly pulling his brother out of the truck, forcing his head to the pavement and putting him in a headlock.
The brother reportedly had a deep laceration to the bridge of his nose, red marks and bruising on both sides of his neck – consistent with injuries from strangulation, according to the police report. An arrest warrant was sought for Ray.
