The Bowling Green State University Board of Trustees voted Thursday morning to raise in-state undergraduate tuition by 2 percent.
The trustees also hiked in-state graduate fees by 2.5 percent.
The out-of-state surcharge will remain unchanged.
The increase represents a hike of $105 per semester starting this fall. That brings tuition to $5,400, up from $5,295.
The trustees’ action comes as they await final action on the state budget.
The Senate’s version of the budget allows for a $10 increase in cost per credit. The increase at BGSU amounts to $8.75.
The state budget includes no increase in state funding for higher education.
The tuition increase is expected to bring in an additional $2,433,414 and the graduate tuition increase is $430,135.
