Maryalice Rutter

MaryAlice Rutter, 90, passed away peacefully July 29, 2017. Born June 7, 1927 in Wichita, Kansas. The only child of Harry Hayley Thompson and Marie C. Thompson. MaryAlice met the love of her life, Howard L. Rutter while attending BGSU. They were married on December 21, 1947 in Bowling Green where they remained.

She is survived by four children; Maryanne (Jeff) Spielman of Salem, VA, Tom (KoAnn) Rutter, Bruce (Cathy Kutzli) Rutter and Jane (Jim Grilliot) Rutter all of Bowling Green. She is also survived by four grandchildren: T.J. (Allison) Rutter of Bowling Green, Matthew Spielman of Salem, VA, Nicole (Nick) Rutter-Hirth Springboro, OH and Heather (Gary) Rutter Babaryk of Zanesville, OH. Also are four surviving great-grandchildren: Calen and Paige Hirth and Harper and Hailey Babaryk and was anxiously awaiting the birth of baby Babaryk. MaryAlice is survived by a sister-in-law, Janet Kramer, of Findlay, OH.

In addition to her parents, MaryAlice was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, grandson Chad Spielman and brother-in-law Jerry Kramer.

MaryAlice was an avid reader and often visited the Wood County Public Library. She cherished the forty years she spent as a Wood County Hospital volunteer. She will be greatly missed by her loving family, friends, wonderful neighbors: Amijo Mayberry, Angie Saunders, Bob Coller and her favorite Calico Sophie.

Services will be private for the family. Dunn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
