The University mourns the loss of Solmaz Sedghi Elherd, 39, a second-year graduate student in the Master of Cross-Cultural and International Education (MACIE) program, who passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, at the University of Michigan Hospital. She had been ill since July.
A campus memorial service is being planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, in 201 Bowen-Thompson Student Union. Her family will hold her funeral in her home country of Iran.
