Rodney E Sheeks, 59, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away April 27, 2016. He was born on February 11, 1957 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Jay D Sheeks and Dorothy L Russell. He married June Wickard and she survives in Bowling Green. Rodney worked as a press operator at Toledo Mold and Die in Bowling Green. He formerly worked for the Cain’s Potato Chip Factory. He loved coaching and playing baseball with his boys. He spent many years coaching little league for teams in Rudolph and at Carter Park. He was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan. Rodney enjoyed western movies, working outside and had a large collection of hats and knives. His greatest passion was spending time with his kids and grandkids and he had a special place in his heart for his dog Molly, a miniature pincher. Along with his wife June, Rodney is survived by his sons Joey A Wickard (Anthony) of Findlay, Ohio, Jeremy E Sheeks (Jenn) of Bowling Green, Ohio, Jason J Sheeks (Angelina) of Wayne, Ohio and Andrew Pratt (Megan) of Bowling Green, Ohio, daughter Amber L Bankey (Brett) of Bradner, Ohio, brothers Randy Sheeks of Bowling Green, Ohio, Ronnie Sheeks of Fostoria, Ohio, Larry Bateson of North Baltimore, Ohio and Tom Bateson of Rudolph, Ohio, sisters Margaret Schooner of Rudolph, Ohio, Linda Oaks of Grandville, Michigan and Debbie Sheeks of North Baltimore, Ohio, step-father Wayne Oberley of Weston, Ohio and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Ann Sheeks and brother Roger Sheeks. Visitation will be held on Monday May 2, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 18620 Washington Street Tontogany, Ohio.
