City issues updates on construction projects

The city of Bowling Green has reported updates on the following construction projects:

  • I-75/Wooster: ODOT has scheduled a couple of closures in conjunction with this project.  The 181 Exit or I-75 southbound ramp to Wooster Street will remain closed until Nov. 5.
  • Conneaut Avenue Sanitary Sewer Project: work is progressing with the last part of the sewer line installation along Conneaut Avenue.  This portion being the deep gravity sewer, which involves significant excavation including trenching through bedrock. To date, the contractor has installed 3,300 feet of force main sewer line and 520 feet of gravity sewer.  Roughly 300 feet of gravity sewer line remains to be installed.  It is anticipated that this portion of the project will be complete in November.  Once the sewer work is complete, the remaining portion of Conneaut Avenue that was not paved last year will be paved.
  • Rosalind/Dunbar Sewer: the sewer line replacement along Rosalind and Donbar streets continues.  Nearly 200 feet of sewer line has been installed.  Work has been slowed due to some unexpected difficulties and conditions – shallow bedrock and deteriorated conditions of existing facilities that were not a part of the project. It is anticipated this work will be complete in mid-December with paving and concrete work to follow.
