Susan Rahl-Huether, 73, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, surrounded by her loving family in Bowling Green, Ohio. Susan was born to the late Robert and Margaret Andrews on December 21, 1945 in Findlay, Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University and joined the U.S. Army immediately after. After serving her country, Susan continued to serve her community by working for the Bowling Green State University as a public safety dispatcher and parking and traffic services officer. She retired from the university after over 25 years of service.
Susan had a heart of gold. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. Together with her husband Daniel, they also enjoyed traveling to see historic covered bridges throughout the Midwest, sometimes on their motorcycles. She was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma that loved to bake. Susan was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and American Legion.
Susan will be dearly missed by her husband Daniel Huether, her children; Jennifer (Jon), Fred (Michael), Tim, Laurie, and Missy; her stepmom Virginia; her sisters Shirley, Pam, and Peggy; her brother Chuck and her 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Sally Anne.
Visitation for Susan will be on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 11:00 AM until the time of her funeral service at 1:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory 1460 W. Wooster St. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
Flowers will be graciously accepted or donations in Susan’s honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
