The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation and the Bowling Green High School DECA program are hosting the fourth annual BG Zombie Mud Run on Oct. 6, at 12:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Bowling Green Community Center.
The BG Zombie Mud Run is a competitive and family friendly event where participants can test their limits running through challenging obstacles. The goal is to survive the course while being chased by zombies.
Interested runners can register by credit card/debit card at www.imathlete.com or at the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation website. Registration for 11 & under is $21, for anyone over the age of 12, the registration cost is $26. The fee will cover the family friendly registration cost and include a race t-shirt.
Along with registration information, the BG Parks and Rec social media pages include exciting videos that preview this year’s run. Come out to the run and experience the thrilling race with new zombie repellent spray bottles.
Participants will be able to “save” Police Officer Robin Short by dunking her at the end of the race.
Additional features of this year’s race include unique zombie themed games, a creative zombie storyline and a zombie sprint and jog.
DECA is an association of marketing students and is a satellite program of Penta Career Center.This event serves as a collaborative integrated marketing event between BG Parks and Rec, BGSU organizations, Eagle Scouts, Girl Scouts, BGHS Art Department, and BGHS DECA members.
