The Bowling Green VFW Paul C. Ladd Post 1148 will be hosting a pancake breakfast honoring all veterans on Saturday, Nov. 9. The breakfast is open to the public and will be provided to veterans at no charge. Family and friends are welcome to attend with their veteran.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, Vietnam veterans are asked to explore a map of Vietnam and mark their area of service in the country. The breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the VFW Post located at 719 S. Main St.
A Veterans Day Memorial Service will be held at the Wood County Courthouse on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11:00 a.m. The service will be held at the Wood County memorials on the courthouse grounds. Evie Van Vohris will present the National Anthem, the 14th OVI Civil War Re-enactors will provide a rifle salute, and “Taps” to be presented by Ryan Holley.
