Chris Kokomoor, age 84 of Pemberville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Bowling Green Manor, Bowling Green. She was born on June 20, 1935 in Buffaloville, IN, to Donald and Lila (Riley) Wetzel. On November 30 1957 she married Charles A. Kokomoor in Santa Claus, IN. Chris and Charles raised 2 children and celebrated over 62 years of marriage. Chris worked as the office manager for the Student Book Exchange in Bowling Green for 17 years. She enjoyed playing bridge, was a prolific baker in baking pies and Christmas cookies. She was known for writing cards and letters especially to those dear to her and to those in need. Her favorite pastime remained her family; her husband, her children and her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Charlie, Chris is survived by her son: Kent (Deb) Kokomoor of Bowling Green. Daughter: Julie (Shawn Stacey) Hessel of Perrysburg. Grandchildren: Zak Kokomoor, Alicia Kokomoor, Mira Kokomoor. Maddy Hessel and Riley Hessel. Sisters: Linda Woods and Lois (JD) Williams both of IN. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, brothers: Allen Wetzel, Ronnie Wetzel and sister, Patsy Meyer.
Family and friends will be received 3-7 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. Funeral Services will be conducted at the funeral home 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2020 with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. Officiating, will be Rev. Dale Katcher. Interment will be in Pemberville Cemetery, Pemberville. Memorials may take the form of contributions to: Heartland Hospice.
