First-year Bowling Green State University women’s soccer coach Jimmy Walker is the guest speaker at this Thursday’s Bowling Green Kiwanis noon luncheon at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Walker was selected as the new leader of the Falcon program just six weeks ago after leading the University of Findlay’s program to a record of 25-7-4 over the last two seasons and the school’s first-ever trip to the NCAA Division II national tournament.
Prior to his two years at Findlay, he spent eight years as the executive director of the coaching at Pacesetter Soccer Club in Sylvania and was an assistant coach at BGSU for the 2011 season.
Walker’s first head coaching college position was at Tiffin University, his alma mater, where he had a record of 84-33-4 from 1997-2002 and was a three-time coach of the year.
