BG man charged with resisting arrest, obstructing police business

A Bowling Green man, Jordan Ditch, 30, was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing official business early Friday morning.

Bowling Green Police Division was called to an apartment in the 1000 block of North Main Street for possible domestic violence. Police found the apartment door locked, and reportedly heard a woman yell “get your hands off me.”

According to the police report, the female family member was able to get around Ditch and open the door for the officers.

As police were talking with Ditch, he reportedly tried to push the officers out of his apartment, then attempted to pull his hands away as police tried to handcuff him. Ditch then reportedly refused to walk down the stairs and had to be carried by officers.

Once outside, Ditch reportedly refused to get into the transport van, so officers picked him up and put him inside. At Wood County jail, he reportedly refused to get out of the van, so sheriff’s deputies got him out, placed him in restraints and booked him in the jail.

Ditch did not face any domestic violence charges because the initial call to police involved a verbal argument.
