Two lines of fire trucks and EMS vehicles filled the front driveway at Wood County Hospital this evening as a way of showing appreciation for the health care workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.
The salute was organized by Shelly Vajen, a member of the Pemberville-Freedom Fire Department and secretary of the Wood County Firefighters Association.
Fire and EMS departments from throughout the county showed up to thank the hospital employees leaving one shift and those arriving for the next.
