Bowling Green Police Division has determined that the shooting involving a man who walked into Wood County Hospital with a gunshot wound last week did not occur in Bowling Green.
The victim, Andrew Garten, 24, from Imlay City, Michigan, provided limited information to police about the shooting. He walked into the hospital last Friday morning with a firearm injury.
Officers were slowed in their investigation since Wood County Hospital is not allowing anyone other than patients and employees into the building due to the pandemic.
Bowling Green police detectives are communicating with other law enforcement agencies regarding the incident.
