Wood County has 250 confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases

Wood County has 250 confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases, as of the Monday, May 18, update from the Wood County Health Department.

A total of 42 people with the virus in Wood County have died. 

Of the 42 who have died, 21 were females, and 21 were males. Six were in their 60s, nine in their 70s, 19 in their 80s, and eight in their 90s.

Of the total 250 cases in Wood County, 184 are in long-term care facilities – 118 are residents and 66 are staff. Those numbers from long-term care facilities are updated every Wednesday.

As of this week, the following facilities have cases:

  • SKLD Perrysburg: 49 residents, 7 staff.
  • Kingston Residence of Perrysburg: 42 residents, 15 staff.
  • Kingston Rehabilitation of Perrysburg: 6 residents, 25 staff.
  • The Manor at Perrysburg: 17 residents, 5 staff.
  • Otterbein Perrysburg: 4 residents, 13 staff.
  • Otterbein Pemberville: 0 residents, 1 staff.

Of the total 250 cases in the county as of today, those with the virus range in age from 1 to 100, with the median age of 61. Of the local cases, 152 are females and 98 are males.

A total of 61 Wood County residents are currently hospitalized for the virus.
