Employee resigns before investigation into racist post is completed

Community members display signs at rally following a racist Facebook post by groundskeeper.

The Bowling Green State University groundskeeper who posted a racist and threatening message on his Facebook account has resigned.

BGSU President Rodney Rogers who decried the post as “vile and despicable” reported that Kevin Paridon had resigned before Human Resources had completed its investigation.

The message used a racial slur in a post responding to last week’s March on Washington. “C*** hunt day,” he posted.

A rally attending by about 200 university faculty, staff, students and community members was held noontime Monday to condemn the post.
