A Bowling Green man was arrested early today, around 4 a.m., for allegedly violating a protection order.
Zachary S. Bankey-Downard, 34, was arrested by Bowling Green police and taken to the Wood County jail.
Police responded to a residence in the 600 block of High Street, for the report of a window being broken. A resident said she was in her bedroom when the window shattered. Her father reportedly ran outside and saw a white Ford sedan driving away.
Police found the vehicle and Bankey-Downard in a parking lot one block away from the residence.
The woman told police that she has a protection order for her daughter, who lives at the residence.
Bankey-Downard reportedly admitted to police that he went to the residence and knocked on the window to get the attention of his soon-to-be ex-wife – but due to his intoxication level he broke the window.
