The Wood County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim who died in a house fire on Brim Road, north of Bowling Green, as James Cann, 72.
The cause of death is not being released, but it has been determined that the bullet wound in Cann’s leg was incidental to his death. Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn said Cann was known to have several firearms in his home and carried a gun on himself.
The house fire occurred in the early morning hours of Feb. 12 in the home at the southwest corner of Brim and Hannah roads. The home was a complete loss.
