Wood County is now up to 12,995 confirmed and probable cases and 218 deaths from COVID-19 since last March, according to the Monday, May 3, update from the Wood County Health Department.
That is 54 new cases and one more death since the last report on Thursday, April 29.
A total of 640 local residents have been hospitalized for the coronavirus since last March, with three more being hospitalized since Thursday.
The county has 146 cases per 100,000 residents.
As of Monday, a total of 59,809 local residents have gotten at least their first dose of a COVID vaccine. That is 45.72% of the county population.
