After two summer Garden Parties, Pemberville is getting ready for the third one of the season.
On Tuesday, July 27, from 5 to 8 p.m., vendors will provide sweet summer treats, household items, and plants to brighten living spaces.
Front Street will be the site as Dan Cadaret brings live music in a variety of genres on vocals and guitar, including pop, country, rock, and jazz.
The vendors include the following: Downtown Deco – succulents and houseplants; Z Farms – gourmet mushrooms; Harold Leemaster – homemade soaps, lotions, and salves; North Branch Nursery – perennials and flowering shrubs; Beeker’s General Store – Amish jams and jellies, salsa, pickled vegetables, and Poppin George’s Kettle Corn; Cynthia Lohrbach – garden totems; Arts in Common – pottery, jewelry, pet treats, and sewn items; Ruth Hasselman – assorted knitted, crocheted, and sewn items; Beeker’s Fresh Baked Goods by Kate; Country Grains Breads – fresh breads; Riverbank Antique Market – garden antiques and accessories; Brick ‘n Brecher Sugar Shack – maple syrup; and Beeker’s Old-Fashioned Ice Cream – hand-dipped ice cream, fresh strawberry shortcake, and fresh salads and gourmet cold-cut sandwiches by Michael’s Gourmet Catering.
Beeker’s General Store will be featuring a new frozen treat – Diana’s Bananas. Beginning in Chicago, Diana’s Bananas was originally a quick snack at street festivals, and it evolved as its popularity increased.
The Gathering Place, 222 E. Front St., will have Ohio-made noodles and sauces. New flavors of Mrs. Miller’s Homemade Noodles, made in Fredericksburg, include Lemon-Pepper, Tomato-Basil, Ranch, Garlic-Parsley, Artichoke-Spinach, Pesto, and Chili Jalapeno. Brownwood Farms, located in Athens, makes mustard, cherry pie filling, barbecue sauce, wing sauce, and pear and cinnamon preserves.
Other downtown shops open for shopping include Country Cupboard Ohio and Riverbank Antique Market.
Vendors are being sought to sell fresh vegetables, plants and flowers, garden art, antiques, and fresh baked goods. Interested vendors should call Beeker’s General Store at 419-287-3274 for more information. A small participation fee is required in advance to hold a space.
Spaces can be reserved for the next garden parties, held on the fourth Tuesdays of every month through September in Pemberville.
