A Toledo man was arrested for assault after he reportedly punched a woman in the face Saturday.
Bowling Green Police charged Jaron Swain Jr., 20, with assault and transported him to Wood County Jail .
Around 2:51 Saturday morning, a police officer observed two men standing in the roadway in the 100 block of North Prospect Street, getting ready to fight. Both were standing in a fighting stance, facing each other.
A woman exited the driver’s door of a vehicle, and one of the men, her brother, got into the car. Swain then returned to a fighting stance, according to the police report, then stepped toward the woman and punched her in the face with a closed fist.
The officer ran over, grabbed Swain and placed him in custody.
